Installation guide

The supported way to install Lean Operations Monitor is Microsoft AppSource. Sideload below is for testers or organizations that cannot use the store.

Download manifest files

Save the XML file, then follow the steps below to sideload it in Excel.

Sideload via trusted catalog (Desktop)

Place the manifest in a local folder and register it in Excel Trust Center. Works on Windows and Mac (Mac uses a different folder path — see note below).

    Save the manifest

    Download manifest.lean-live.xml and place it in a folder such as C:\OfficeAddins.

    Open Trust Center

    In Excel: File → Options → Trust Center → Trust Center Settings → Trusted Add-in Catalogs.

    Add the folder path

    Enter your folder path in Catalog URL, click Add catalog, check Show in Menu, then OK. Restart Excel.

    Insert the add-in

    Go to Insert → Add-ins → My Add-ins → Shared Folder. Select Lean Operations Monitor and click Add.

Mac users: copy the manifest to ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Excel/Data/Documents/wef/ (create the wef folder if needed).

How to activate Lean Ops Pro

Free calculators work without a login. When you upgrade to Lean Ops Pro, complete these steps in the Excel task pane:

  1. 1. Sign in

    Open Account in the task pane and sign in with Microsoft, Google, or email so we can attach your subscription.

  2. 2. Complete checkout

    Choose Upgrade to Pro to open Paddle checkout. Lean Ops Pro is $29/month or $290/year.

  3. 3. Pro unlocks

    After payment succeeds, the task pane shows Pro as active. Setup, logs, and analytics become available for the paid period.
